Our team of passionate mountain bikers has designed this jacket for warmth and comfort with a simple design for intermediate MTB tourers cycling in winter.
The 4 layers you need to stay warm when mountain biking.
How to stay warm and dry during winter MTB toursWe're going to explain the 4-layer technique for the upper body:Start with a layer of underwear. For the second layer, place the straps of the bib over the top.Your anorak will then form and in the event of poor weather, a waterproof jacket will provide the fourth layer. Are you ready? Then get ready for your winter mountain bike tours, and cycle in comfort.
A clever design: cut, seams, materials...
The bib at the rear stretches down to the saddle, protecting you from splashes. The diagonal cut across the shoulders provides greater freedom of movement. The anti-slip waist keeps the jacket fitted close to your body. The foam-backed neck and wrists provide greater comfort and protection. The different fabrics ensure warmth, ventilation, and durability. And the full zip closure can be opened and closed single-handedly, even with gloves!
No need to carry a hydration backpack!
A bottle holder on the frame is all you need to get going! Thanks to its pockets, this jacket allows you to cycle without carrying anything on your back.- 1 secure, waterproof vertical pocket at the front for your phone, accessible with one hand, even when wearing gloves!- 1 secure rear pocket for your keys, documents, etc...- 1 side pocket for an inner tube and hand pump.- And 2 side pockets for your cereal bars... and empty packets!
How we tested the ST 500 jacket... with you!
We surveyed mountain biking clubs in 5 countries as part of the design process for this product. This resulted in 50 hours of interviews and 1000 user questionnaires to try and answer this question: ""What do you want from a winter MTB jacket?"".Once the prototypes were created, they were tested with users. On the menu: your feedback and your experience to ensure we offer a product that meets your needs.
Advice from the design team:
One last tip for before you hit the road (or should that be the trail)? ""The most important thing is to be well equipped... or to be well supported!""To avoid any unpleasant surprises and to ensure your mountain bike tour doesn't turn into a long hike on foot, remember to prepare for any snags or technical issues. With a relaxed mind, you'll be able to enjoy yourself even more!
